I was drawn to Montessori education by its empowerment of the child to explore the world through direct experience and its tactile approach to learning. When I first walked into Acorn Montessori School, I saw how the teachers led with a quiet calm and the children were fully focused on their individual work. I felt the trust they had in their teachers and the comfort they had in the classroom. As the music and performing arts teacher, it is a joy to work with children who are so present and eager to engage in our creative work. Beyond Acorn, I teach voice, drama, and dance at other schools and also enjoy diving deeper into my yoga practice and spending quality time with my family.
